Charles Ramsey Is Winning!

Charles Ramsey aka the man who saved the kidnapped girls in Cleveland is WINNING! After helping to rescue the three girls who went missing over a decade ago, Ramsey's story of how he saved the girls went viral. Lots of jokes were made about his interview. No worries though, as Hollywood and McDonald's took notice:

Per Ramsey:
"I knew something was wrong when a little, pretty white girl ran into a black man's arms. Something is wrong here. Dead giveaway."

I heard screaming. I'm eating my McDonald's. I come outside. I see this girl goin' NUTS.

I barbecued with this dude! We eat RIBS and what not, and listen to salsa music!... There's nothin' exciting about him, until TODAY. Hehehe."

Jokes for days! Peep the autotuned version (yea you knew it was inevitable) of his chopped & screwed interview on Cleveland’s WEWS titled 'Little Pretty White Girl", twitter big-ups, and pics after the jump...

The Great Gatsby -- NYC Premiere

The men looking dapper

When I heard that The Great Gatsby was coming to a movie theater near me this spring I almost died. When I heard my fave actor, Leo was casted to play Gatsby and Jay-Z was an executive producer, I told everyone not to contact me on Friday, May 10th when the movie hits theaters.

I read the beautifully written & magnificent book by F. Scott Fitzgerald in high school, and downloaded it again last week on my iPad to re-read before seeing the movie. As I had remembered, the writing is vivid and vibrant, and makes me wish I could step back in time to the 1920's just to experience the fashion alone.

About The Great Gatsby:
Set in the prosperous Long Island in 1922, The Great Gatsby provides a critical social history of America during the Roaring Twenties within its compelling literary narrative. That era, known for unprecedented economic prosperity, the evolution of jazz music, the flapper culture, and bootlegging and other criminal activity, is plausibly depicted in Fitzgerald's novel. Fitzgerald utilizes these societal developments of the 1920's to build Gatsby's stories from simple details like automobiles to broader themes like Fitzgerald's discreet allusions to the organized crime culture which was the source of Gatsby's fortune. Fitzgerald educates his readers about the garish society of the Roaring Twenties by placing a timeless, relatable plotline within the historical context of the era

Last night, everyone in fashion, film and music turned up to watch the premiere event in NY at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Baz Luhrmann, the director of Romeo + Juliet and Moulin Rouge turned the book into art! Catch more pics and the full trailer after the jump...
