Rumor Has It that the dramz is going down for the Today Show team and specifically for host Matt Lauer. NBC is rumored to be in negotiations to move Ann Curry out of the co-host spot and either Savannah Guthrie or Hoda Kotb into her place.Radar Online is reporting that Natalie Morales was only briefly considered because of her past with Lauer and that she will leave if passed over for the promotion. Morales has worked for the network since 2006.
The rumor is that Morales and Lauer had an affair and her second son Luke is the result. This alleged affair was also the cause of a brief separation between Matt and his wife Annette Roque.
The National Enquirer is also claiming that once Annette found out that Ann was leaving she gave Matt an ultimatum regarding Morales and that she would leave him if Morales was given the co-host job.
Woooooooooow I am shocked! I remember when the rumors originally came out that Matt cheated on his wife and that she filed for divorce but I hadn't heard that Natalie was the cause. This is all types of messy and while I am taking the tea with a grain on salt, I know the National Enquirer has broken lots and lots of juicy stories.....
