Trey Songz Chapter V Album Release at Bagatelle Restaurant in NY

Last night, industry big wigs came out for Trey Songz release party for his fifth studio album creatively titled, Chapter V, hosted by Grey Goose Cherry Noir. My only question is, who put Trey in that horrendous blinged out lapel blazer??

Buuut I digress. Our fave Power 105.1 on-air personality Angela Yee (or as we like to call her at the T. Loh headquarters,Yeezy) alongside Mike Kyser, Fab (dressed in his best 1987 gear), Emily B. (i only see your red pout), Kevin Liles, Mashonda, Irv Gotti, Julissa, and a slew of others came out to support. Peep the sexiness after the jump:

House of Dead Wrong

Sigh.

There aren't enough cute pics of Baby Blue that would make it ok to announce that there is a Fall 2012 House of Dereon campaign Bey & Momma T!

Few questions:

Why?

How come when i'm searching through the 1/2 off bins at Sears, I don't see anything that Bey modeled

Why?

Dumb @SS of the Day

And the award goes to.......

Adidas...and all the Marketing/Sales/Product Directors who were in the meeting when this design was pitched.

When your market is predominantly young urban males who are major consumers of your products you would think that someone would have raised the red flag that attaching shackles or cuffs to a pair of sneakers probably wouldn't be a good idea....guess not

I'm not saying its racist but I do think it was culturally insensitive not to mention just plain dumb @ss. In this day and age with social media's power, companies need to keep a closer eye on what can be considered offensive especially if your target market falls into those who might be most offended.....

Addidas has released a press release addressing the controversy:

"The design of the JS Roundhouse Mid is nothing more than the designer Jeremy Scott's outrageous and unique take on fashion and has nothing to do with slavery," the statement said. "We apologize if people are offended by the design and we are withdrawing our plans to make them available in the marketplace."

Ratchet Reality Rewind.. Low Budget But We Love It!

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta

Episode 1 debuted tonight and it is ratchetness at it's best! Set in Atl these ladies are getting it all the way live.

Mama Dee is Lil Scrappy’s mother and a former drug dealing pimp…yeah a pimp
Mama Dee = Frankie+Mama Jones x10 which equals A LOT of crazy. In her own words “I am the QUEEN and I am not giving up my throne” well alrighty then….

Erica is Lil Scrappy’s baby mama and she took him back after he dumped her for rapper Diamond and then Diamond dumped him for Soulja Boy….Erica is clearly a Ride or die chick, but she has issues fully showing her love to Lil Scrappy because she doesn’t believe that he would be with her if Diamond hadn’t broken his heart.

Mimi is Stevie J's baby mother and the tension is centered around her trying to navigate their relationship as Stevie is not ready to commit to her (they have been together on and off for15 yrs) and yes this is the same Stevie J who was engaged to E-V-E a couple of years back. I was puzzled at how hard she is hanging on to Stevie J. especially when he does and has cheated on her, but I guess love (and a good child support check) is blind and it will take over your mind....

Joseline is a former stripper and aspiring Latina singer/rapper and Stevie J's protégé. It looks to me like she is more than just an artist, and she contributes to the issues Stevie J has with Mimi. She leaves me puzzled with her overt femininity coupled with her dragtastical demeanor…

K. Michelle is a R&B singer who has had some success but is alleging that her former manager/boyfriend abused her and that he used her 2 million dollar recording budget to finance an extravagant lifestyle...

Karlie is also a singer and aspiring actress and is the catalyst to the fight between Mimi/Stevie/Joseline because at a party for K. Michelle's birthday she unknowingly compliments Joseline and Stevie J’s relationship not knowing that Mimi is claiming Stevie J as her own….

There is so much drama and bad fashion in this show that I don’t even know where to start! From Mama Dee the former pimp trying to explain to Erica how she should express her love to K. Michelle’s crying and unfortunate wig and wardrobe choices (She wore a sheer lace illusion onesie with what my friend described as a pair of shoes with bad yaki tied around her ankle). Then there is Mimi the dowdy facing off against Joseline a grad student from RuPaul’s DragU for Stevie J’s affections.

This show is ratchetness and I <3 it!

Side Eye...Ashanti

What happened to Ashanti's career? Remember when she was the hip hop princess?

A check is a check I guess....

Peep the video of Ashanti performing in a sheer catsuit at a club in DC this past weekend.

Ashanti has gotten more and more risque with her fashion choices lately. Instead inspiring with her fashion choices she is going the "shock and awe" route and that doesn't = album sales.
