Manolo Blahnik…Has No Time For Basic Bishes

In an interview out today in Interview Magazine, Manolo is keeping it extremely real… (Andre Leon please take note he wants your “badest b@tch” title).


In talking about the stars of yester-year, Blahnik had this to say about the latest crop of Oscar- buzzed starlets:

“...Then I saw these girls like Sherilyn Fenn and Lara Flynn Boyle that should be working now instead of these anonymous girls. They're all the same. I don't even know Amanda Seyfried or whatever—they're all the same! I try to remember—the only one I remember is Julia Roberts because she's particular. Anne Hathaway . . . Pretty? Yes. Wonderful actress? Yes. But, I mean, I don't even remember her. What is it about her?”…… As Cat Woman, yes, and I'm not saying she's not beautiful or a great actress. I just don't remember her.


Princess Diaries was my favorite movie back in the day but I have to agree with Mr. Blahnik, these “Oscar” chicks just aren’t doing it for me. They have all the personality and spice of a mayonnaise sandwich.

Last night Tinsley was invited to a fabuuuu primp party at Benefits Soho hosted by Angela Yee, of Power 105.1 and Draya of Basketball Wives LA.

We enjoyed complimentary Beauty Confession cocktails served by Belvedere while the teams of Benefit Cosmetics and LaureLuxe Metal Couture created fashion week looks.

Benefit beauty artists were on hand to show us the tricks of the trade and we also got accessorized from Laurel DeWitt, celebrity jewelry designer behind LaureLuxe Metal Couture.

Draya Michele Mint Swim Fashion Show

Can we say "come up"?? Don't hate...CONGRATULATE! The BBW (insert confused face here) LA star hosted a fashion show for her swimwear line Mint Swim in Vegas at Magic on Monday.
The bikinis come in an array of colors and are priced in the $50-65 price range. I won't front the suits are kinda cutesy! And Cassie obviously approved by rocking one on her free trip to Capri with her boobiebear diddy. Take a gander at some video & pics from the show after the jump.

J. Hud does QVC

Not only will J. Hud bless my tv screen with her weekly presence on Smash this Fall, but she will also launch her clothing line with QVC on Sept. 6 during one of the kickoff events for New York Fashion Week.

One of my FAVEEEEEEEE designers is heading to Target! Known for its unique, cleverly named prints and classic silhouettes, Tucker by Gaby Basora (the former stylist for Lauryn Hill and her Miseducation tour) has the bestest collection of draped silk dresses & blouses, and is officially making a debut at Target on September 13th! I'm uber excited!

H&M hits the Mark

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't...They def did with the new Garden Collection that launched today! Every piece from this collection was designed using organic materials, recycled PET bottles, or textile waste. The collection is SUPA-GORG! Who would have thought discarded waste could look so hot! Hurry before they run out of stuff; I ventured in the store on 5th ave and whoa! It was chaos galore!

Oscar Re-Cap

Truthfully, i was too busy watching back-to-back epi's of Family Guy instead, but I did catch the most important parts (Mo'Nique and Sandra's wins, funny guys Steve Martin & Alec Baldwin, and Ben Stiller as an Avatar "Navi"). Best Dressed = Mariska & Queen Latifah. Worst Dressed = Zoe Saldana & Mariah Boobies Carey

Uber stylist Rachel Zoe and her weirdish face is all over Europe shopping up a storm. She twit-pic'd the below pic of her and lil B (i.e. Brad Goreski) in Milan earlier today heading to Fendi. No word as to when her reality show "The Rachel Zoe Project" will be back on the air...
